Meet Scott

Scott brings nearly 26 years of law enforcement experience and over 18 years as a police canine handler to every dog he trains. As an FDLE-certified canine team instructor and evaluator, he's logged thousands of hours training police and military dogs alongside their handlers, and thousands more attending specialized canine training courses across the country.

But his expertise goes beyond credentials. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and has developed an intuitive understanding of how dogs think, learn, and communicate. That knowledge, honed in high-stakes environments, translates beautifully to helping family dogs become calm, confident companions.

Meet Reenie

Reenie is a proud mom to two beautiful kids and brings compassion, organization, and heart to everything she does. After a 15-year career in oncology, she transitioned home to be more present for her family and joined forces with her husband, Scott, to launch Gravitas K9 Training in 2024. Reenie is currently apprenticing under Scott, blending her love of learning and connection with dogs into her hands-on training journey. She also manages scheduling, social media, and marketing, keeping the heart and message of Gravitas K9 strong and consistent.

Here’s To Training Confident Dogs & Strong Families

In 2024, what started as a family dream became reality. For years, friends, neighbors, and fellow dog owners sought Scott's expertise with their pets' behavioral challenges. They saw what nearly two decades of professional canine training could do β€” and they wanted that same clarity and confidence for their family dogs.

Around the same time, Reenie decided to step back from her healthcare career to focus on what mattered most: family. Together, Scott and Reenie saw an opportunity to combine their skills and passion into something meaningful. That's when Gravitas K9 Training was born. This isn't just our business. It's our family's passion, and we can't wait to welcome your dog into our home.
